Sri Chinmoy is a man of peace. He called himself a student of peace or a peace-dreamer. He dedicated his whole life in the service of peace throughout the length and breath of the world. His peace activities can be traced to all corners of the globe; including Antartica. I have had the unique opportunity to be able to travel with Sri Chinmoy for a good number of years. What Sri Chinmoy did in the service of peace for humanity is truly unique; and I am talking about practical work in the service of peace-loving humanity. Sri Chinmoy was close friends with Moder Teresa, President Mikhail Gorbachev, President Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the great musician Ravi Shankar, Carl Lewis and the President of South-Africa Jakob Zuma.
